Live Music Planner is a private, invitation-only portal for a small group of people who go to a lot of concerts. There is no sign-up: an administrator sends an invitation link, you choose a password, and you are in.
It is a hobby project, made and run by one private person for family and friends — not a company, not a service with a business model. There are no ads, no tracking, no selling of anything, and nobody outside the group can see what you add.
How it works
You write down the concerts you are going to — who, where, when, what the ticket cost, who is coming along — and the venues you keep returning to build up into a little registry of their own. Afterwards you can rate the night and keep your notes about it.
The evening before a concert, at six o'clock, you get an e-mail so the day does not sneak up on you. To-dos with a due date get a mail on the morning they are due, and you can set your own reminders for anything else — the reminders are sent between eight in the morning and eight in the evening, never at night.
Besides concerts there is room for the odds and ends around them: notes, links to ticket shops or set lists, and to-dos like "book the train". Everything is personal — your list is yours alone.
A few fun facts
- The portal grew out of an older planner that had been in use for years; every concert from it came along.
- Reminder times follow your own time zone, so a show in another country still gets its mail the evening before, local time.
- The whole thing runs on a shoestring — about the price of a cup of coffee a month — because a hobby should not cost more than the concerts do.
- Nobody reads your data. Backups exist so nothing is lost, not so anyone can look.
