Privacy
The short version: the portal stores what you type into it and the e-mail address you were invited with, nothing is sold or passed on, and nobody reads your data. The long version follows.
Who runs this
Live Music Planner is run by one private person as a hobby, for family and friends. It is not a company and has no business model: there are no ads and nothing is sold. Questions about your data go through the contact form and are answered by that person.
What is stored with an account
You cannot sign up yourself; an administrator invites you by e-mail. From then on the portal stores:
- Your e-mail address, the name you choose, your time zone and your password — the password only as a hash that cannot be turned back into the password itself.
- Everything you add: concerts, venues, ratings, notes, links, to-dos and reminders.
- Your login sessions, for up to 30 days each, with the name of the browser they were started in, and the time of your last login. Logging out ends the session.
- The secret link of your calendar subscription, while it is turned on.
Other people in the group cannot see any of it. The administrator's user list shows e-mail addresses, roles and last login times, nothing more; the administrator could reach the raw storage but does not look at it — the backups exist so nothing is lost, not so anyone can read.
Where it is kept
Everything runs on Microsoft Azure in the Sweden Central region: the website, the small service behind it and the storage. A backup of all data is taken every night and deleted after 30 days, so something you remove can remain in a backup for up to a month. Technical logs — which requests came in, and errors — are kept for about a month, are used only to keep the site running, and contain nothing you typed.
E-mails
The portal sends three kinds of e-mail, all from portal@livemusicplanner.com through Azure Communication Services: the invitation when your account is created, a link when you ask to reset your password, and the reminders — the evening before a concert, the morning a to-do is due, and any you set yourself. The concert reminder can be turned off under Account. There are no newsletters and no marketing.
The contact form
The contact form can be used without an account. Your name if you give one, your e-mail address and the message are stored and shown to the administrators until one of them deletes the message; the answer comes by e-mail. To keep spam away, your network address is stored with the message so that only one message an hour is accepted from the same address.
Anonymous usage statistics
If you accept the cookie banner, Microsoft Clarity records how the site is used: which pages are opened, where people click and scroll, screen size and browser. It is anonymous — the portal never tells Clarity who you are, and what you type or see inside the portal is masked in the recordings. Clarity sets two cookies of its own for this and keeps the data on Microsoft's servers under Microsoft's privacy statement.
If you decline, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent; only your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it any time: .
What leaves the group
Nothing, unless you send it out yourself:
- Share links. When you share a concert, anyone with the link sees the artist, the venue and its address, date, time, ticket price and ticket link, plus a preview picture with the artist, venue and date — never your notes, companions, rating or name. The page disappears 30 days after the concert, or as soon as you stop sharing.
- The calendar subscription. Whoever holds your subscription link — normally only your own calendar app and its provider, such as Google or Apple — can read your concerts from two years back onwards, with venue, time, price and companions, but never notes or ratings. Reset or turn off the link under Account at any time.
No data is sold, passed to advertisers or used for anything but running the portal. The only company involved is Microsoft, which hosts the site and delivers the e-mail — and, only if you accept the banner, records the anonymous usage statistics.
Your data
You can download every concert, notes included, as a CSV file from the concert list at any time, and change your name, time zone and password under Account. Your e-mail address, anything else you want corrected, and the removal of your account are handled by the administrator: ask through the contact form or in person. There is no delete button — the administrator removes the account and everything stored with it by hand, and the nightly backups follow within 30 days.
